About Becca

Exploring the connections between nature, learning, and human well-being.

I'm interested in what helps people, communities, and organizations thrive.

My work and interests sit at the intersection of learning, human well-being, healthcare education, embodied experience, and our relationship with the natural world. I'm drawn to the connections that shape how we live and work—and to the often-overlooked conditions that allow people and systems to grow, adapt, and flourish.

Over the past 27+ years, my professional experience has taken me across several fields, including massage and bodywork, yoga and wellness education, academic medical education, healthcare technology, and cancer research training and education.

Although these experiences may seem varied, a common thread runs through them: a curiosity about how people learn, develop, connect, and sustain meaningful work and lives.

My background includes a master's degree in Information Science with a concentration in Health Informatics, professional experience in healthcare education and program management, and ongoing doctoral study in Educational Leadership, with a concentration in Organizational Leadership and Learning. I'm also interested in the ways nature and living systems can inform how we think about learning, leadership, connection, and well-being.

I'm particularly interested in the relationships, environments, and structures that support people as they navigate complexity and change. This includes how organizations recognize and cultivate leadership, how people develop through connection and collaboration, and how the less-visible parts of a system contribute to its overall health

My forthcoming article, The Invisible Infrastructure: What Living Systems Teach Organizations About Thriving, explores some of these ideas through the lens of biophilic thinking and living systems.

Outside of my formal work, I'm drawn to writing, photography, nature, movement, and practices that invite greater awareness and connection. These interests are not separate from my professional life; they are part of how I continue to learn, observe, and make sense of the world.

This space brings together those ongoing explorations—of nature, learning, leadership, creativity, and the many connections that help us live and work well.

I’m glad you’re here.

The Invisible Infrastructure: What Living Systems Teach Organizations About Thriving

Forthcoming publication in the Journal of Biophilic Design, Issue 24, Biophilic Regenerative Design / New Systems (Nov/Dec 2026)

What if the most essential systems in an organization, are the ones we never see? This piece draws on two decades of bodywork, biophilic design principles, and organizational research to ask: what happens when we stop noticing, naming, and investing in the infrastructure that holds everything together?
